These depict the fate of Presbyter Simeon who was jailed in the Cathedral in 1439 for not submitting to the Papacy.
These illustrations come from Zhitie Sergiia [Life of Sergei], pg 333, originally
housed in the Troitskii Monastery, but moved to the Russian State Library, Moscow.
